How To Pack Your Luggage

It’s a no brainer that travelling anywhere, whether it be on a business trip, a vacation, or just a little weekend getaway can be extremely stressful; you have to plan the days, get itineraries ready, and most importantly: pack your bags. At Frank’s, we want to eliminate as much of that stress as we can- here are some quick tips and tricks for you to make the most of your luggage.

Dress Shirts

We won’t lie, this is probably the most intimidating item to pack in your suitcase. But, there’s a neat trick to make sure nothing gets ruined and you pack the most you can. Rolling your shirts and button downs is hands down, the way to go.

Pants/Jeans/Shorts

You want to make sure you’re laying all your pants flat on the bottom of your suitcase to evenly distribute weight considering these are likely your heaviest items. Folding like this or even longer to take up the bottom layer of your suitcase are the most simple ways to go.

Shoes

We’ve all been there: you’re finally ready to throw in your shoes and realize they are beyond dirty. Pro tip: put a shower cap over the soles of your shoes to prevent any dirt from ruining the rest of your clothes. Also, make sure you’re leaving your shoes toward the bottom of the luggage nearest your wheels to prevent your suitcase from tipping over. Another way to use up the space is to pack your socks into your shoes so you have some extra room elsewhere for other clothes.

T-Shirts

You can go two ways with packing your tees, roll like your dress shirts, or fold like your pants. If you think about it, if you’re able to get all the air out of your luggage by layering and layering all of your clothes, you’ll be able to fit more. Or, you could also play a little game of tetris with your rolled clothing items; either way, you’ll be able to fit the most that you can in your luggage no matter what.

Underwear

Any sort of undergarment can be shoved into any open spaces you find, whether that be in the corners or on the sides, place wherever there’s room.

Packing can be a handful, but we hope that these tips and tricks make it easier for you to make the most of your luggage for your next journey. Be sure to stop at any of our locations or online to check the latest trends you may need for your next excursion.
